the big day in 2.0
Follow the election news at election.twitter.com. Twitter is definitely lagging behind a bit because their server is getting tons of traffic as everyone is definitely reporting voting situations from the front line as well. Now you can follow my updates on twitter on the right hand side to fill in the gaps (I finally gave into twitter).
For live coverage and commentary, go over to BBC’s website, they have both text commentary and live video commentary. I’m on MSNBC’s live coverage website. You can also follow live blogging that accumulates info from various sources over at skeptalchemist. It’s near closing time, follow the results at BBC or NY Times.
I must admit that it is exciting to be watching history in the making and experimenting with twitter to follow the election. 8:21 PM PST, McCain gave his gracious concession speech accepting his defeat and encouraging his supporters that “We must work together”. Soon followed by Obama’s speech on election night.
NY Times has a record of campaign finance map here. For more gems from the election night, you can check it out at my delicious.com/shantomo/us_election2008.
